Quantum of Solace - This would be the dullest James Bond movie of all time. No gadgets. No witty dialogs. The typical Bond movie music was also missing. Very complicated plot with a back story. The movie starts at a point where Casino Royale ends. So you need to remember all that happened in Casino Royale. This was a good spy movie, but didn't feel like a James Bond movie at all. 3 Stars.
The Dark Knight - Simply stunning. 4.5 stars. This is an awesome movie. Heath Ledger's joker leaves a mark. Usual batman drama with awesome stunts, grand sets and good acting. I'll be buying the DVD (I'm still sticking to DVD until Sony makes Blu-ray affordable) when it comes out. The only reason this movie did not get a 5 stars rating from me is because it was a little too long for my taste.
Wall.E - Nice movie. There are no dialogs for more than half of the movie. Good attempt to show how a robot develops some human-like characteristics. The animation is just mind boggling. Just when you start thinking that the movie is getting boring, it suddenly gets more interesting. 3 stars.
The Da Vinci Code - OK movie. A long convoluted unconvincing story with a good deal of drama. 2 stars.
Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest - Great entertaining movie with usual comedy and sea adventure filled with mystery. 4 stars.
Omkara (Hindi) - Adaptation of Shakespear's Othello by Bollywood director Vishal Bhardwaj. Based in Western Uttar Pradesh in modern times with 'mobile' toting polititians and their leutinants rather than sword wielding noblemen in the original play. Great adaptation of Shakespear's greatest work. This is a must see for any Bollywood fan.
Cars This was an OK movie. I give 3 stars. Story was average. Visuals were stunning.
